Amherst K-12 School Counseling Department
The ACT is an entrance exam used by all Nebraska colleges and most out of state colleges. The ACT score is used for admission into college and many scholarships. I recommend that students take the test two to three times by February of their Senior year. Students need to take the writing portion of the test only once which they do for the school state test in April of their Junior year. There are fee waivers in the counselor's office should you need one. The state act test at school is free for students.
