Elementary Information

Elementary is such a wonderful age! I love visiting the classrooms and receiving lots of hugs. It is with a joyful heart that I serve these children. Every week from the beginning of September to the end of April I am in each of the K-6 classrooms. Most of my lessons are from 2nd Step. More information on my classroom curriculum is at the bottom of this page.

Social/Emotional

On this page you will find information in regards to family issues, crisis, divorce, behavioral problems, mental health issues, conflict resolution, friendship problems, and other concerns. My job as a school counselor is to help students be the best learners they can be. Sometimes this means working on issues that block a students ability or desire to learn. I work with parents, administrators, teachers, and the students to help identify the problem and come up with a plan. I am also able to connect families with outside resources.

Academic

On this page you will find information about goal setting, decision making, time management, organizational skills, following rules, and listening skills.

Career

Throughout a child's schooling they will dream of becoming many things! I myself went from Donut Lady, Molecular Biologist, Teacher, and finally School Counselor. When I'm in the classroom
